Sundance Film Festival chooses FestiCiné

The Sundance Film Festival, known for gathering original storytellers and audiences seeking new voices and fresh perspectives, has chosen FestiCiné to manage its Press & Industry events in virtual form, to bypass the problems linked to the pandemic. FestiCiné has been able to adapt to the needs of the event and provide its expertise. New communication features between participants have been added and allow, face-to-face, virtual or hybrid, to optimize communication and meetings between participants.

Sundance Film Festival is added to the long list of the most important events in the sector that have been chosen by FestiCiné: SérieMania, Lumière, Cannes (CANNESERIES, Marché and Cinéfondation), Karlovy Vary, Tallinn, Les Arcs, Haugesund and many others

Sundance's Press & Industry Hub is sponsored by IMDbPro.

Tailor made!

FestiCiné offers an exclusive communication system between participants and all the powerful functions included in the software.

Let’s take a closer look.

Registration according to your preferences

Connection to the Press & Industry section with the Sundance login.

Let’s take the example of Antoine, participating in the P&I events. He first sets up his preferences to better organize his participation in the festival: time zone so that the agenda adapts to the place where he is, participation or not in the messaging and the appointment request, in order to choose an experience from discreet to active!

If desired, the user can receive notifications and share his latest information with members of the Press & Industry Pole.

A personalized welcome - Press & Industry Hub

The Sundance central hub allows registered participants from the Industry to meet other professionals around film projects, films made, new talents ... Contacts must be secure, accepted by both parties and everyone's contact details must be able to remain confidential for whoever wishes.

*Sundance Industry Meetings*

Antoine organizes and manages his professional meetings as he wishes.

First of all, thanks to his personalized event calendar.

He can consult his appointments using the filters offered: events - organized meetings - self-scheduled meetings, or even by date.

He discovers the meetings organized by the festival in which he can participate, with their main information: dates, times and the contact of the company in question. Zoom encounters include a link, automatically generated by FestiCiné.

The participant can also organize professional meetings with the meeting request tool.

Antoine just has to choose the person to whom he wants to propose an appointment, proposes a schedule that corresponds to his agenda, a forecast duration, a place (real or in Zoom) and add a message if he wishes.

The general description of his event will be imported into his calendar automatically.

Conversely, he can find out who wants to contact him.

Rejeter, proposer un autre horaire ou tout simplement accepter la rencontre : aussi simple que cela.

Reject, propose another time or simply accept the meeting: as simple as that.

He can also find the practical details of his meetings!

"Auto-scheduled meetings" promote meetings and allow him to contact people who are not part of his address book. Participants can also access the project files directly associated with the profile sought.

Of course nothing is definitive, each participant always has the possibility to update his or her appointments or to cancel them.

*Festival Directory*

All festival participants with the contact details they have chosen to share are searchable. This is handy for getting in touch, just by clicking on their name.

To prevent contact details from being automatically "sucked" in, providing information in two stages requires manual manipulation.

From a contact detail, even if the participant chose to hide her email, Antoine can choose to organize an appointment…

... or send a message.

*Message*

The Messages section is composed of an inbox, sent and deleted messages.

It is possible to accept or decline contact requests from other participants. This helps prevent intrusive or unwanted contact requests. This tool also allows participants to be able to communicate without disclosing their contact details, while choosing to obtain a copy of all exchanges by email.

*Meetings*

Participants will find all the projects selected by the festival and listed in two categories: “Festival Artist” and “Institute-Supported Project”.

We use the proposed filters to perform a more precise and efficient search. Everyone can then register those that interest them!

An even more visual site full of resources.

This section offers access to several guides, to everything accredited people need to know about the different types of passes and programs to better understand their festival.
